On May 24 and 25, on the eve of the summer holidays and in order to prevent child road traffic injuries, to involve children in promoting the rules of safe behavior on the roads and streets, and to involve children in the teams of young traffic inspectors, the city competition for young cyclists "Safe Wheel" was held at the Center for Extracurricular Activities . The participants had to compete in individual and team competitions.
The event is held annually as part of the federal target program "Improving Road Safety in 2013-2020".
Seven school teams competed for the title of the fastest, most competent and cohesive: "Speedworkers" (secondary school No. 1), "Speed Forces" (secondary school No. 8), "Green Light" (secondary school No. 9), "Zebra" (secondary school No. 11), "Firefly" (secondary school No. 13), "Hitchhiking" (secondary school No. 14), "Children of signs" (secondary school No. 15).
The competition program consisted of theoretical and practical tasks: knowledge of the Rules of the Road and actions in case of a traffic accident, the basics of traffic rules, medicine, the basics of insurance, the basics of life safety, figured cycling and the ability to move around the Avtogorodok. A separate and, as it turned out, difficult task for the children was the station of young correspondents, where for five minutes the guys expressed their thoughts in an essay.
The event began with a greeting from the inspector of a separate platoon of the traffic police Svetlana Sviridova, who gave the guys parting words and wished them success.
After the presentation performances, the teams received route sheets and went to the stations.
A difficult stage of the competition was a theoretical exam for knowledge of the rules in various fields, but young drivers passed all disciplines with dignity, although not without mistakes.
The most striking, but requiring the utmost attention and the ability to control a bicycle, was the “Figured Bicycle Driving” stage: a snake, a chute, a swing, carrying an object, passing under the crossbar, the “Stop” line - these obstacles were overcome. Children demonstrated their virtuoso skills in cycling and the ability to navigate in situations close to real road conditions.
Strict judges, when summing up the results, applied penalties for the mistakes made.
In difficult competitions, the guys spent two days of competition. The absolute leader was the team of young traffic inspectors "Children of Signs" of school No. 15, the second place was taken by the guys of school No. 11 and the third - of school No. 1.
Andrey Khalikov (school No. 13) and Alina Minnekayeva (school No. 15) won in the individual championship in the nomination "Track". A. Minnekayeva also became the best in the nominations "Fundamentals of Safety" and "Connoisseurs of the Rules of the Road." Olesya Vetkasova (school No. 8) rightfully won the first place in the Young Correspondent nomination.
The winners of the competition received valuable gifts and diplomas.

The flow of cars is growing, the streets are becoming unsafe. But danger awaits only those who do not know the rules of the road, do not know how to behave correctly on the street, and do not observe discipline.
And for those who have well studied the rules of the road, who are polite and attentive, the street is not at all scary.
Traffic rules - the laws of streets and roads. Everyone must know and follow them. Each of us has to cross a street or a road. We use public transport, some of you are cyclists - all this makes us road users. Everyone should know the rules and follow them. Therefore, today we will consolidate our knowledge in order to prevent child traffic injuries, precisely at the end of the school year.
