Nursing

Training is carried out at the college's bases - city hospitals and clinics, where internal and surgical diseases are studied under the guidance of experienced teachers; obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics and other disciplines.

The educational process uses modern technologies with the use of multimedia equipment. Lectures, seminars and practical classes predominate.

The college has a 9-storey comfortable dormitory. Each wing has a kitchen equipped with modern electric stoves and refrigerators. The hostel has created conditions for fast food: a cafeteria with 20 seats. To organize leisure time for students, the dormitory is equipped with an assembly hall and a disco hall, as well as a gym equipped with modern sports equipment. The work of clubs has been organized in which students can develop their abilities and interests.

Eight-month nursing courses were founded between 1925 and 1927. In 1929, the training period was extended to 1 year. The courses were located in one of the city schools.

In 1954, the two-year nursing school received college status, and paramedic and obstetric departments were opened.

In 1957, recruitment was stopped; a new building was not built, because The Ministry of Health believes that there is an oversupply of paramedical personnel in the republic. It was decided to close the school.

In January 1962, the school reopened.

In 2006, Orsha State Medical School became Orsha State Medical College.
