The system of ethics, which they preached, suggested upbringing respect for parents, decency, devotion to Mr., loyalty to the authorities, etc. The presence or absence of these qualities of the Confucianians tried to detect on the faces.

To this end, they persistently developed facial reading techniques.

Over time, Chinese physiognomists raised the art of reading a person at a well-known height, created special treatises that have spread to different countries of the East. They were delivered to Japan. And although it cannot be said today that in Japan, they are painfully keen on physiognomy, the influence of it is traced in painting, the production of masks, theater, various spheres of communication.

Of all the features that form a person's face, the ancient Chinese physiognomists have allocated five most important person to read. It is eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth and ears. In the ancient texts, they are denoted as five essential traits. It is significant that through so many centuries these terms are still used in relation to the specified traits.

Each of them reveals something in character. Each also manages some side of fate. For a physiomist, the main problem is that these features tend to overlap each other in the sense that there is interdependence between all the features of the person and for complete analysis, all these features and connections are required.

After all these different features are appropriately understood, evaluated and analyzed, the physiognomist proceeds to other features of the face, such as forehead, whiskey, cheekbones, jaws and wrinkles. And in conclusion, it moves to the reading of the color of the skin, which represents the most thin and difficult to master part of the system.

Ancient physiognomists argue that if any of the five most important features has the highest dignity in shape and quality, then at least ten years of happy life is provided by this. And if all five features have higher dignity, then the subject will enjoy happiness, prosperity and universal respect. But it is unlikely that any of the living people is assessed by such a "perfect face."

Ancient authors also argued that if any of these five most important features were poorly framed, it indicates a break or weakness in some features of the individual. Incorrect trait is a reflection of the wrong mind. Thus, the work of the physiognomist is to penetrate into the inner life of the individual by reading what reveals his face.

Relatively easy to read a wonderful, well balanced and proportional face. And accordingly, it is much more difficult to analyze the faces of the ordinary, with incorrect features, which most of us possess. Therefore, the study of the wrong damn occupies the most important of the attention of the physiognist.

The five most important features will be told in the following chapters.

The Chinese person reading system comes from specific positions on the face, each of which indicates a certain age and opens some aspect of fate and character, mainly fate.

The physiognomist can go straight to this position to determine the fate of the subject or significant events that should happen in a certain year of life. If the subject says the physiognomist, that, for example, for 37 years, the physiognomist must first consider the position 37 - the pupil of the left eye.

In practice, the physiognomist is guided by a specific scheme. To comprehend the value of different positions, it will take some time. However, only the main of them is fairly well remembered. These main overlap the interval of age from 20 to 70 years, i.e. positions from 20 to 70, which is the most important years in human life.

There are several schools of Chinese physiognomy, each with its position. One school, for example, divides a person per 100 positions, is another - at 130. The system with 100 positions has the greatest distribution. It is tested by time and accurate. In addition, in order to simplify the system, where it is possible, we tried to avoid the use of ancient technical terms, abundant with literary hints that could scare the reader, and in other cases it is simply undivisible.

The positioning system described by us was developed for many centuries ago and brought in ancient texts. The most important aspect of physiognomy is the possibility of its practical application. If the system worked well for millennia, this is an essential argument to follow it and now.

Looking at the scheme (Fig. 26), we will see that it marks 99 positions. Position 100 is not applied, because it controls the area as a chin and jaws. As a general rule should be remembered that the wider the jaws and the more chin nominates, the greater the chances of living to a hundred and more.

The central part of the scheme is contacted by a dotted line caused by both sides of the face and going around the chin. The area outside from the dashed line covers the left and right profile of the person, as well as the bottom of the chin.

And the following. The Chinese human age definition system differs from accepted in the West. In China, it is believed, for example, that man has been fulfilled on the moment of birth. In the West, a person still has to live a whole year before he reaches his birthday.

This section uses a Chinese system. Therefore, you warn the reader that one year should be subtracted from each position number to translate it into the western system. Thus, a person at the age of 37 years old on the Chinese system in the Western system will have 36 years, and a person of 37 years in the Western system will have 38 years in Chinese. In the Scheme, position 37 refers to the age of 37 years on the Chinese system.

However, in terms of physiognomy, the difference can be neglected. This difference will have a certain meaning with a more in-depth study of "internal energy", "seasonal changes", skin coloring, and so on, that is, everything that is included in the esoteric theories of the "five elements" and "and Jing". All this goes beyond the book.

Chinese physiognomy is rather one of the forms of art than an exact science. The physiognomy takes it into account this, conscious, that, for example, reflected in position 48, can flow from position 47 and may also continue to position 49. The accuracy of the analysis largely depends on the experience of the physiology.

Nevertheless, both numbers are usually given together, especially in the chapter "Analysis of persons" in order to remind the reader about the difference, which would be this distinction.

As already mentioned, the newcomer in reading a person should familiarize themselves with the main positions (see Fig. 26). There are only 13 of them. They are located in the middle of the face from top to bottom (position 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 41, 44, 45, 51, 60, 70 and 71). In Chinese treatises, these thirteen are known as "special positions", due to the fact that they share the face into two equal parts. If all positions on this imaginary line are in balance and proportions with other features of the face, then most likely that the life of such a person will be good from birth to death itself. The opposite will be fair if the features in these positions will be incorrect and outside the balance and proportion. A quick look at special positions will provide a physiomist as if the main material and will give him a solid basis for further analysis.

This does not mean that only special positions are important. In fact, positions associated with five life features - eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth and ears - as we will see further, are considered even more important, especially in the study of personality and character. We explore the first special positions.

Position 16 often reflects the relationship of the individual with parents, especially on the paternal line. Uneven, spoiled stained surfaces on this site indicates unloved parents and, perhaps, anxious childhood. Dark strip on this site, especially if it stretches to position 28, predicts an impending misfortune. Blooming the skin on this site that keeps for a long time is a faithful sign of failures and failure of all aspirations.

Position 19 reflects fate and character inherited from the motherboard. If the skin color on the position of the position 19 is radiant, without any dark or dull shade, then this indicates that the individual will probably receive help from a high-ranking person. Dark or dull skin color on this site is a sign that the position of the individual is under threat.

Position 25 is related to the current human affairs, and is also associated with the prospects for the future. For a happy outcome, this plot should be smooth and full and without defects. Black moles mean a shortage of patience, and from here and repetitive failures. Traces of scars on fabrics or skin defects indicate trouble. If the surface around the position is 25 spit and dark, then this indicates a man of low intelligence. In short, if this position is full and radiant, then this person is destined to arrange his life early and achieve brilliant success.

Position 28, or "Place of Stamping", is probably the most significant of all thirteen special positions. The archaic term "place of stamps" means that this position determines the ability of the individual to achieve a high social situation and social prosperity.

The physiognomist should inspect this area with great care. Wide it or narrow? Is it enough clean and free from any flaws? Does the flesh do not rise? Is the bone structure well formed?

If the platform, separating eyebrows, is about 3.5-3.7, it is considered a good sign. If this is a meat player and is marked by deep vertical grooves, up to four, this indicates a person a huge vitality. Under the great life force, ancient texts implied great sensuality. If the flesh in the position of position 28 is well expressed and slightly "raised", especially on thin faces, this indicates the presence of outstanding mental abilities. The term "raised" means the convexity of tissues from one quarter to half an inches originating from internal reasons. Such raised areas, sometimes called "bumps", can also appear around the temples. The "bumps" also indicate the maturity of man and its logic abilities, and therefore they have a strong influence on the successes and failures in life. Most often, they begin to appear in this section at the age of thirty.

The physiognomist must also determine the skin color on this site. According to the ancient texts, the blackboard indicates gastric diseases; bluish - on kidney; Reddish - on heart disease. Black Mountain in this place means chronic disease. The area between the positions 18 and 15 is also known as the "Corridor of Good luck". Position 41, or "foot of the mountains", determines the fate of a person in relation to marriage and family. Position 44 is associated with the average years of life. The wrinkle on this site indicates the lack of good luck. An dark color, even if weak, indicates a serious disease in the family. Molenia in this place foreshadows complications with the opposite sex.

Position 45 - If there is no fracture in the bone structure and color of the skin shiny and reddish, then it indicates a happy fate. Fracture or dull color indicate the opposite.

Position 48 reflects active years in human life. This position should be flea, well rounded and look healthy, preferably light red. A good form without a healthy skin color means wrecking hopes and / or failures. Thinking and other defects in this place indicate financial collapse.

Position 51, or the average person, determines the likelihood of having offspring. If the grooves are not direct and does not occupy the central position in relation to the upper lip, then the individual will die without leaving the offspring.

Position 60 in balance and proportions in a closed position indicates a strong will.

If both corners of the mouth are closed up, then this is a sign of financial and commercial success. If the mouth opens and closes without clumsy, it marks the expansive mind and versatile tastes. Brilliant red lips are a good omen for the future.

Position 70 is determined mainly by the color. If dark, then a person should avoid traveling. If the color is red, white or blue and without shine, then an individual may become a victim of a dishonest game.

Position 71 is related to heavy work and treachery. If the tip of the chin is pointed, then this indicates an infinite work and poverty. If the chin is pointed and rejected in one direction, this indicates that such a person will answer betrayal to kindness. Brilliant reddish color predicts a happy event. Muddy red eye points unfortunately associated with fire. Other positions in the scheme associated with five essential features will be considered in the following chapters.

It is very important to emphasize once again that the reader of the person must weigh, analyze, anticipate the data collected when reading each position before bringing the conclusion regarding the fate and nature of the individual. Reading this or that particular feature can not reveal the full history of the individual.

European physiognomy distributes people for seven planetary types. Upon all the conventions of this symbolism, it can be accepted as a basic one.

Mars - God ancient Roman, warlike and courageous, corresponding to ancient Greek arrest. Head of people of a Marsoy type, like their body, square in shape. The skull has a strong thick bone and a wide horizontal section. Anatomas call this form of brachycephalus, i.e. short-column. Earth types, like Martian, belong to the square morphological type: The skull is brachycephalus, that is, they are wide-wires. They have thick hair and form a low forehead, which is very similar to the forehead of Martian, but the latter is more intelligent. It is the same wrinkles that speak about the same dominant features.

Eyebrows are more shaggy and convex. Little eyes are sitting more deeply. Cheeks are large. The nose is wider and at the end a little ride. Compare the noses of the earthly types that drew Bayia, with noses of solar and Mercurian types, and you will understand the psychological difference. The mouth of earthly types is compressed, the lips are incorrect, poorly defined and often thick enough.

The lower terrestrial types of rarity rudeness and cruel, feel bad to their loved ones and to animals, show sadistic inclinations.

Mars and the Earth are square types, have a wide brachycephalus skull, and Mercury, like the other oval types, has a skull, elongated in front of the back, that is, Dolikhacephalus. Martian binds himself with some man for the sake of victory, which can win him. Earth and Venusian type of women are given to all their feelings for the very best of flesh. Mercurian offers himself, at the same time thinking about what the consequences and benefits will be.

The chin of Mercurians is narrow, elongated, even too extended (in Mercurians-neuropaths). The less the chin is sophisticated, the greater the energy in it. Energetic Mercurians are rare. Signs of their energy - eyebrows, which converge almost in a horizontal line, compressed lips and short chin. There are both weak Mercurians - they have troubled, excited movements, nervous habits.

The lips are beautiful: not very big and not very small. The upper lip is well contacted (it is very different from the straight and flat top lip of Mercury). Lower lip is proportioned to the top. The folds of the tips of the lips do not express either contempt, as often happens in Mercuryans, neither pessimism (like Saturnians), no effort (like Mars and Earth). They talk about dignity, composure, calm, kindness. Smile of a sunny type - sober and kind.

The chin confirms and emphasizes the balance, which is expressed by lips: it is not as short and square, like Martian and earthly types, and not so elongated, like Mercurian. Although this chin and square, but constitutes a part of the oval person at the same time.

Solar types are surprisingly calm and strong. The word that best expresses their mental state is cloudless brightness. Sunny type emits full self-control, happiness, strength. He causes the surrounding admiration, mixed with fear.

Solar type - harmony expression. He could consume his energy, but protects it. It represents the strength at rest, the power of self-confident, which is not manifested without the need, because it knows that at the very first call it immediately, in one jump rises to the feet, ready to shine like lightning.

In the eyes of the solar type, unshakable energy associated with captivating meekness is read. Only in one glance, these eyes affect or healed.

Sunny-type speech and trembling clear timbre. She knows how to conquer, throw thunder, forgive. Solar types can be students in all branches of human knowledge. Among the people of the solar type are born large organizers, industrialists, bankers, executives. The superiority of them over others is the reason why they are difficult to find a friend in love. The solar type of man suffers from female petty. A woman of the sunny type, noble, with a developed mind, is in vain looking for a man who will exceed it.

The skull and the face of Venusians have the same structure in their main features as other oval types. They have thick and beautiful hair. They are not straight, like Mercurians, and do not go into large waves, like a solar type, they are fluffy.

Venerine forehead is not as developed as sunny, but similar to it. As with the solar type, it is calm, without wrinkles. But while the forehead of the Solar type remains calm due to the full self-sustaining of his host, the Venusiance forehead remains impassive for himself, as well as from fear of old age. Eyebrows are sophisticated, pretty thick and arcuate.

They are often raised to the position of passive contemplation than they fall to the situation of the will.

The physiognomist distinguishes the square jaw and low convex eyebrows from Martian and earthly types. Mercury residents have a dumb look and a smile, illuminating a thin and pointed nose. At sunny type - a majestic forehead and a magnetic look. Venusiants - the magnitude of the eyes and their charming, captivating tenderness.

Venusalem's eyes do not express energetic energy, nor the delicacy, nor mental superiority, they express love (see Fig. 31).

The harmonious curtain of the eyelashes enhances the charm, which these eyes emit. Veineline look expresses fine sensitivity and developed intuition.

Mars, the Earth and the Sun are judged deductive, Mercury and Venus - inductively - they guess. Venerians's nose often swept up, slightly, like some lunar types. The nostrils are trembling, emphasize the sensitivity that is radiated from their eyes. The lips are chubby and well outlined. The vertical line that comes from the nose to the lip is gracefully deepened.

Venusian lips have nothing disruption, they are sensitive. They complement what eyes and nose talk about. A smile adorning her is a sample of a female smile. It has an amazing charm. The face is completed with a rounded chin, the middle of which is sometimes decorated with a small nice smell.

Venus - Female type. Her power is not in muscles, not in the wild: she lies in her intuition. Men of Venusian type of soft, sensitive, impressionable, gentle, modest. They love to be cracked, well-groomed, well-met. Martian and solar types wish to look strong, Mercurians - smart, Jupiterians are important and serious, and Venusians want to look beautiful.

The people of the lower lunar type are lazy, false, stupid, prone to tricks and gossip. Women of this type can lie to their husbands even when they love them. The innocence of their apparent.

Pure lunar types have a purely lymphatic temperament. The skin is very white, suffers from contact with sunshine. Their skin bluses from the Sun, and not dark, like other types. The physiognomist who knows the clean types well, can one glance to catch the dominant type in any person. This is the first thing he should do. Without a doubt, in order to properly determine the components of any physiognomy, the student needs to work for a long time in the field of physiognomy and he will have to be mistaken more than once. We had students who at the beginning of their physiognomic practitioners saw a square chin, which was actually round, or energetic eyebrows, which were in essence not so. Permanent practice, the physiognomist becomes in the end the ability to distinguish its components in his face. But since the study of triple types will lead us very far and complicates the study, which due to their novelty should be simpler, we will restrict ourselves to the study of the main double types.

To clearly understand mixed types and acquire the ability to quickly distinguish them in the people of others, you must learn not only the text of this book. After you need to refer to the drawings - any image is imprinted in our memory much better than a thousand explanations.

If you digest the drawings of eight simple types and monograms, then you will have in a potential condition of all physiognomic science. And then nothing remains anything else, except to be compared, combine, combine. This is a very exciting job.

We call mixed types according to their components. For example, Sun-Mars is a person in which we open the characteristics of solar and Martian types. To quickly distinguish between the mixed types, we are talking about, and to save time, we recommend the reader after considering the drawing of any mixed type to appeal to the drawings representing clean types, even if the reader thinks that it knows well. First of all, we will learn four combinations of the sun.
