  • Artistry is the ability to become different - on stage, in life - when circumstances require it.

If artistry in art is a phenomenon for granted, then the attitude towards artistry in everyday life is ambiguous. Often it may seem that it is not consistent with the moral principles of honesty, directness and truthfulness. However, considering artistry in Everyday life from another point of view, we will see that it is undoubtedly a kind of defensive weapon. Almost every day we are subjected to psychic and energy attacks, and from completely unexpected sides. In such a situation, we often have to wear different masks, depending on our communicative intentions. Most importantly, be honest with yourself!

Artistry Benefits

Manifestations of artistry in everyday life

A creative approach to everyday life is an active life position, the desire to live brightly, in harmony with oneself and others. Artistry in everyday life is the ability to look and behave the way you need in a particular situation, the ability to attract and captivate people. Thanks to artistry in many areas of our lives, we have the ability to control the situation.

Here, for example, are those areas in which artistry is unconditionally necessary today.

  • Acting environment. Looking at numerous films, we often find ourselves thinking that some actors are invited to a certain role because of their image. That is, in all films, this actor plays the same way, in fact, himself - only his personal image is exploited. Other actors can play such diverse roles and transform so much that sometimes you are amazed at how great the talent and artistry power of these geniuses are.
  • Business environment. The development of artistry in this area is one of the key points in creating one's own image and improving communication skills. Presentations, self-presentations, presentation of new projects - in fact, any public speaking cannot do without entering a certain image, role.

How to develop artistry

Developing artistry, we become great actors. And by becoming good actors, we can better and better play the roles that life itself offers us. When receiving this or that “task”, this or that role, we carefully think over the image, which often does not coincide with our true “I”, does not allow us to reveal our true intentions.

  • Learning to hide thoughts. Yes, yes, it is not always necessary to show and express your true feelings. Let's just try not to think about what we want to hide from others. We will try to hide the true thoughts somewhere far away, and let only those that will help create the necessary image come to the fore.
  • Learning to hide emotions. Let's get it done creative task. Choose your favorite song (or rather a few) - exactly the one that touches you to the core, from which a lump appears in your throat and tears well up. Learn it and sing, sing, sing... It is very important that you experience all the emotions that capture you during the performance of this song. Now learn how to perform it for the “listeners”, perform it in such a way that your soul is absolutely calm and the song does not break through your emotions.
  • Learning to demonstrate loyalty. Remember the people to whom you feel for some reason negative emotions. Of course, ideally, the rejection of people should be eradicated by itself, since it interferes with spiritual development and has a destructive effect on the personality. However, if this drawback is present, we use it for good purposes. Try to communicate with these people as much as possible, but in such a way that no one suspects that you still have a certain rejection of these personalities. Have you found any negativity towards people? Congratulations and we envy you! Use other exercises!
  • Learning to hide confusion. Let's say there is a person in whose presence you pass, you feel depressed, insecure. Wonderful. There is an opportunity to train not only artistry, but also fearlessness, self-confidence and self-esteem. Try to communicate more with such a person. The main condition is that your behavior should be free, relaxed, confident. But in no way defiant and not arrogant.

Don't be afraid to take on challenging tasks and you'll accelerate your improvement.

Winged expressions about artistry

Prishvin - Stanislavsky K.S. / The work of an actor on himself Before you is one of the most famous and sought after works of the great Russian director, famous actor, teacher and theater figure K.S. Veronica Dupre / How to become an actor What does it mean to "be a good actor"? It is not enough just to learn acting lessons. First of all, it is mastery of your voice and body, the ability to speak correctly and move correctly. Oddly enough, a talent given from above cannot replace this skill. Also, this quality a person can improve or develop.

They skillfully captivate others with their interesting stories, complementing them with expressive gestures and vivid emotions. Artistry is also developed among journalists, teachers, businessmen. After all, such people need the ability to convince, to keep the attention of the public.

  • Artistic personalities correspond to the chosen roles.

A person can either be born with such a skill or acquire it over the years. This requires work, study and practice.

Artistry in real life

Such talents in art are commonplace. An artistic person in everyday life sometimes causes controversial feelings. Indeed, sometimes it seems to others that such people neglect the rules of morality, truth and honesty. However, in reality, artistry is a kind of defense mechanism.

After all, almost every day a person is subjected to both psychological and energy attacks from friends, relatives or just people on the street. And in situations like this, artistry is a must. He helps to put on different masks so as not to spoil relations with others. But artistry has other advantages:

  1. This quality helps to maintain a dialogue and maintain the right relationship, even with unpleasant person. So, people who possess it tend to show a sense of tact.
  2. For professions related to creativity, it is impossible to do without artistry.
  3. Diplomacy and artistry can help in situations where the truth can be impartial.
  4. This quality allows you to protect yourself from aggression and emerge victorious.

Such is the artistry in everyday life. It is one of the most important traits in a person. This ability helps to express emotions in a better way, which allows others to better understand the interlocutor.

Where is the artistry

Thanks to the masterful psychological approach, a person can control the situation. Artistry is a helper for people. It manifests itself in the following sectors:

  • Journalism. This job involves interacting with people. An artistic person inspires confidence and liberates. Thanks to this, people sincerely share information, and the journalist presents it to the people. This is necessary during interviews with both politicians and ordinary people.
  • acting professions. Most films feature personalities that are remembered by directors for their ability to act. Almost no one pays attention to appearance. Also in theaters people are needed who are able to convey this or that mood.
  • Pedagogy. The degree of his achievements in the upbringing of children and students depends on the level of development of artistry in the teacher. The teacher must be respected, therefore, in his arsenal, he must have a mask of severity and put it on in a timely manner. Only artistry can help with this. You need to be able to portray emotions of approval, anger or indignation. It is necessary for teachers to control the situation. After all, children will not learn the material if their teacher is boring and does not inspire confidence.
  • Among businessmen. This quality is one of the most important in maintaining your image. It is vital for a businessman to develop artistry. After all, the respect of staff and business partners depends on it. A businessman must skillfully convince, thereby increasing the number of successful transactions.

These are the most popular areas where the innate or acquired inclinations of artistic people manifest themselves. They lead the people and convince others. Also creative personalities admiring and instructing on the right path.

The teaching profession contains creativity. Artistry in the work of a teacher is an integral part of his activity. It incorporates spiritual and physical qualities that allow you to establish a constructive dialogue with each individual child. Because of this, many teachers enjoy the trust of students. Already in the course of their work, they acquire what is applicable to pedagogy.

The types of artistry are very multifaceted. Here are the main methods used by teachers:

  • Inner artistry. It combines culture, emotion, charm and imagination while solving various situations. These can be bright lessons that captivate students. Due to the internal artistry of the teacher, the children tune in to study.
  • External. This is a creative presentation of the material. External artistry includes learning as a game. Thanks to this, students perceive the material with pleasure.

The teacher must be able to transform and restrain his emotions. He needs to remain calm in those moments when the students are worried. Also, the roles applicable to them should not be visible.

How to develop this quality

When an individual improves his artistic ability, he becomes an actor. Thanks to this, people can play the roles that appear in everyday and professional life. The development of artistry involves thinking through images that do not correspond to inner experiences. After all, a person often encounters situations when you really need to hide your emotions. How to develop artistry:

  1. You need to learn to control your thoughts. A person should think only about what will help him conduct a constructive dialogue. To do this, you need to remove thoughts that will harm communication.
  2. Try to hide your true emotions. A person is not able to control only the direction of his pupils. Tears, irritation, smile, laughter, tremors - all this can obey his will. But practice is important here.
  3. Learn to be kind to others. This is difficult to do when emotions are overwhelmed. However, in order to establish a trusting relationship, others must believe that no one condemns them. This can only be learned through long practice.
  4. Hide your insecurities. To do this, you need to communicate a lot with people who cause this feeling. Thus, a person trains not only artistry, but also self-confidence. It is also useful for professional activities.

If you follow these rules, then anyone will develop artistry in themselves. And this skill is useful in everyday life, communicating with relatives and friends, as well as at work. If you try hard, then progress will be visible after two weeks of practice.

Conclusion

Artistic personalities are interesting for interlocutors. Often they are able to lead others. This quality needs to be improved by almost every person. However, do not forget that it is necessary to be interesting, and not to seem so.

No matter how much you put your teeth on the shelf, creative people need self-expression. And in order to reveal acting talent, improve stage skills, you need perseverance and patience. Acting exercises will help to acquire and hone all the skills necessary for a professional actor. After all, an actor on stage is not just a mechanical puppet that mindlessly follows the director's instructions, but a puppet that can think logically, calculate actions a few steps ahead. A professional actor is plastic, has good coordination, expressive facial expressions and intelligible speech.

Before you start to study and work out etudes and sketches to the fullest, you need to understand yourself a little. A real actor needs certain character traits that must be actively developed in himself. Other qualities should be hidden in the far corner and remembered very rarely.

Consider such a quality as self-love. It would seem - a normal state for every person. But this quality has 2 sides:

  • Self-love - makes every day to develop and learn, not to give up. Without this quality, even a very talented person cannot become a famous actor.
  • Selfishness and narcissism is a dead end for an acting career. Such a person will never be able to work for the viewer, all attention will be riveted to his own person.

A good actor cannot be distracted. He should not be distracted by extraneous noise while playing on stage. For acting, by its very nature, implies constant control of oneself and a partner. Otherwise, the role will simply become a mechanical representation. And attention allows you not to miss important details during training, watching theatrical performances, master classes and trainings. To learn how to concentrate, use the attention exercises from stagecraft.

Attention is the basis of a good start to a theatrical career

The development of attention does not begin with special exercises, but with everyday life. A novice actor should spend a lot of time in crowded places, watching people, their behavior, facial expressions, and characteristic features. All this can later be used to create images.

Keep a creative diary - this is the usual diary of a creative person. In it, express your thoughts, feelings, write down all the changes that have occurred with the surrounding objects.

After filling out the creative diary, you can proceed to working out scenes and sketches. A novice actor is obliged to convey as accurately as possible the image and facial expressions of the person he was watching. It is necessary to place prototypes in non-standard situations - it is such productions that show how much the actor was able to understand and get used to the image of an unknown person.

"Listen to silence"

The next exercise is the ability to listen to silence, you need to learn how to direct attention to a certain part of the external space, gradually expanding the boundaries:

  • listen to yourself;
  • listen to what is happening in the room;
  • listen for sounds throughout the building;
  • recognize sounds in the street.

Exercise "Shadow"

It not only develops attention, but also teaches you to move consciously. One person slowly makes any pointless actions. The task of the second is to repeat all movements as accurately as possible, try to predict them, and determine the purpose of the actions.

Pantomimes and dramatizations

A good actor is able to convey emotions expressively with words and body. These skills will help to involve the viewer in the game, to convey to him the full depth of the theatrical performance.

Pantomime - special kind performing arts, based on the creation of an artistic image through plasticity, without the use of words.

  • The best exercise to learn pantomime is crocodile game. The goal of the game is to show an object, a phrase, a feeling, an event without words. A simple but fun game perfectly trains expressiveness, develops thinking, teaches you to make decisions quickly.
  • Dramatization of proverbs. The purpose of the exercise is to show a well-known proverb or aphorism with the help of a small scene. The viewer must understand the meaning of what is happening on the stage.
  • Gesture game- with the help of non-verbal symbols, an actor can say a lot on stage. You need at least 7 people to play. Everyone invents a gesture for himself, shows it to others, then shows some other person's gesture. The one whose gesture was shown must quickly repeat it himself, and show the next someone else's gesture. Who lost - is out of the game. This game is complex, develops attention, teaches to work in a team, improves plasticity and coordination of hands.

Exercises for the development of plasticity

If things are not going well with plastic surgery, this deficiency can be easily corrected. With regular performance of the following movements at home, you can learn to better feel your own body, skillfully manage it.

"Painting the Fence"

The exercise “painting the fence” develops the plasticity of the hands and arms well. It is necessary to paint the fence using the hands instead of a brush.

What exercises make hands obedient:

  • smooth waves from one shoulder to another;
  • invisible wall - you need to touch the invisible surface with your hands, feel it;
  • rowing with invisible oars;
  • twisting clothes;
  • pulling an invisible rope.

"Pack it up"

A more difficult task is to “collect in parts”. It is necessary to assemble in parts some kind of complex mechanism - a bicycle, a helicopter, an airplane, to create a boat from the boards. Take an invisible part, feel it with your hands, show the size, weight and shape. The viewer must imagine what kind of spare part is in the hands of the actor. Set the detail - the better the plastic, the faster the viewer will understand what the actor is collecting.

"stroking the animal"

Exercise "petting the animal." The task of the actor is to stroke the animal, pick it up, feed it, open and close the cage. The viewer must understand - this is a fluffy hare or a slippery, wriggling snake, a small mouse or a big elephant.

Development of coordination

The actor must have good coordination. This skill allows you to perform complex exercises on stage, perform several movements at the same time.

Coordination exercises:

  • Swimming. Extend straight arms parallel to the floor. Perform with one hand circular motions back, the other forward. Move your hands at the same time, periodically change the direction of movement of each hand.
  • Knock - stroke. Put one hand on your head and start stroking. Place the other hand on the stomach, lightly tap. Do movements at the same time, not forgetting to change hands.
  • Conductor. Stretch out your hands. One hand moves up and down for 2 beats. The other is doing voluntary movements for 3 beats. Or draws geometric figure. Use both hands at the same time, periodically change hands.
  • Confusion. Extend one arm, with a straight arm, make circular movements clockwise, while simultaneously rotating the brush in the other direction.

These exercises are not easy to do at first. But constant practice brings results. Each exercise should be repeated at least 10 times every day.

Scenes and sketches for beginner actors

A novice actor does not have to invent everything from scratch. The ability to qualitatively copy and imitate is an integral part of performing arts. You just need to find a movie with your favorite character, try to copy his facial expressions, movements, gestures and speech as accurately as possible, convey emotions and mood.

The task seems simple, but at first it can be difficult. Only regular classes will help hone the skill of imitation. In this exercise, you can not do without attention and the ability to concentrate on the little things. Jim Carrey has a good gift for imitation - he has a lot to learn.

Exercise "Think"

The acting profession suggests well developed fantasy and imagination. You can develop these skills with the help of the “Think Out” exercise. You need to go to crowded places, choose a person, observe, pay attention to appearance and demeanor. Then come up with a biography for him, a name, determine the occupation.

Scenic speech

Good stage speech involves more than just clear pronunciation and good articulation. A good actor should be able to shout softly and whisper loudly, convey emotions, age and state of mind hero.

To learn to betray emotions in a word, you need some kind of a simple phrase say from the point of view of different characters - a little girl, a mature woman, an aged man, a famous actor or politician. You need to find special intonations for each character, use typical speech turns.

Exercises for the development of stage speech:

  • Blow out the candles. Take in more air, blow out 3 candles in turn. The number of candles must be constantly increased, the muscles of the diaphragm must be used when inhaling.
  • Practicing exhalation technique. The poem "The House That Jack Built" is suitable for this exercise. In one breath, it is necessary to pronounce each part of the work.
  • Improving diction. Slurred speech is unacceptable for a good actor. You need to honestly identify the problematic sounds in your speech, daily pronounce tongue twisters that are aimed at eliminating the problem. You need to do at least half an hour 3-5 times a day. Tongue twisters teach to speak clearly at a fast pace, which is extremely important in acting.
  • Intonation plays a prominent role in creating the right image. For training, it is necessary to read aloud artistic dramatic texts daily.

Acting exercises can be studied independently, various trainings will come to the rescue. But it is better to study in the company of like-minded people - you can go to courses or arrange theater evenings at home. The main thing is to never give up, always believe in your own talent, move towards the intended goal.

Charisma, charm, artistry - this is for many only beautiful words, which don't mean anything specific. When the word "artistic" is used, a person imagines someone like Leonardo DiCaprio in the role of "The Wolf of Wall Street", but in no case his colleague, boss, older brother, or anyone in his inner circle. We do not notice that a colleague is able to sell anything to anyone thanks to the ability to show the goods with his face, that the boss, even in the most hopeless situation, can inspire the team with confidence in his strength, that the elder brother becomes the soul of any company without any problems. Or we notice, but the word "artistry" does not come to our mind: they are ordinary people and not some movie stars.

REMEMBER! Artistry is the ability to turn the most mundane and even routine things into art. An actor must be artistic, but this does not mean that innate artistry is peculiar only to actors!

Where artistry comes in handy in everyday life:

  1. In personal life. How to impress a girl or a guy and show yourself from the best side.
  2. In career growth. How to stand out in a team, be able to take the initiative in hand and show leadership qualities.
  3. At home. How to arouse the disposition of strangers quickly and in any circumstances.
  4. In difficult, unpleasant and dangerous situations. How not to lose face, not to show fear, not to betray true feelings.
  5. in self-development. How to improve self-perception and forever insure yourself against the loser complex.
  6. In relationships with family. How to learn to get along with everyone at once.
  7. In communication with friends. How to become the center of attention and attraction in the circle of closest friends.

Why develop artistry

Have you ever wondered why at school they were forced to read poetry with expression, and not at random? Correct Answer: Because expressive reading better conveys the essence of what is written, and not only to the listener, but also to the reader himself. This is the element of acting: the maximum of the necessary information with the minimum means. You can say the word "hello" with a stone face and without intonation, the addressee will understand that he was greeted, but he will not feel anything. Or you can stretch the word a little in an exclamatory intonation - "hello!" and smile at 32 teeth. The addressee will also understand that they greeted him, but he will also note that they did it with pleasure, that they are glad that they treat him well. And a good attitude, according to psychologists, gives rise to reciprocity, this is how friendships are established, and barriers between people are collapsing.

IMPORTANT! Artistry helps to get what you want from other people. Artistry should be developed if difficulties arise in this direction. Can't get to know a girl or negotiate with a client? Then this is what you need.

Profession actor

Above, we tried to deal with an abstract concept, turning it into a concrete, vital one. We found out that every person is artistic in one way or another, or may well develop artistry. But now it is not very clear why such an ordinary phenomenon is strongly associated with acting and, in fact, with stage performers.

The fact is that the theater is always an emotional impact on the viewer. People don't go to the theater for facts, only for impressions. And even the morality that is in every play, if not frankly secondary, is perceived by the viewer only through sympathy for the characters.

The goal of an actor in the theater is to make the audience empathize.

Now imagine how Othello with a stone face, without emotions and intonations, says: “Have you prayed for the night, Desdemona?”. Will you empathize with him, worry, freeze in anticipation? Will you come to this show again? No. That is why everything an actor does must be artistic, i.e. emotionally expressive. For the same reason, artistry got its name, because it was the artists who turned the ability to captivate into a real science, which became the basis of acting.

Exercises for the development of artistry

The good news is that you don’t have to develop artistry in the full sense of the word. Emotional expressiveness is a natural quality that every person possesses, it is unconsciously used in the process of communication. If you observe children who have not yet been driven into the framework of "decent behavior", it becomes clear that they express their emotions freely and openly, and they turn out to be charming. You, too, were a spontaneous and sweet child, which means that you possessed everything that you lack so much now. The main task is to remember what it is.

  1. Learn to let yourself go. Letting go means enjoying what you are doing without regard to “what it looks like”. For example, a person who dances, not knowing how to dance, because he is “high” to move to the music, performs an artistry exercise.
  2. Learn to imitate. Imitation is the essence of any art. The development of artistry begins with a simple copying of the habits of people and animals. Try doing ordinary things in someone else's way, reacting like interesting people that you have observed, act like them, talk like them, etc.
  3. Make it a rule to be the center of attention once a day. That is, in a situation where everyone around is looking only at you.

If you find it difficult to work on yourself on your own or need an experienced look from the outside, artistry lessons that can be taken at drama schools or acting classes will come in handy.

To achieve promotion, be among campaign spokespersons, speak in front of an audience, communicate with the press and business partners at a high level, you will need courses in business communication and speech in Moscow. On them you will also get rid of barriers in communication, learn the art of eloquence.

Artistry is the ability to convey emotional information through movements, facial expressions, eye expressions and voice. Moreover, the information can be both true and false. Artistry is the art of reincarnation, allowing a person to put on a certain "mask". Getting used to the role, a person temporarily changes his personality, without changing the deep personal attitudes.

Artistry is a useful human quality that accompanies us in everyday life and at work. First of all, artistry is necessary for actors, but it is also important in other areas of activity - for example, it is difficult to work without it for businessmen, teachers, journalists, sales representatives and everyone who deals with people. It is extremely important in everyday life, because in order to maintain good relationships, it is often more profitable for us to behave not as we want, but as the situation requires.

Artistry is an innate human quality - see how artistic children are, how diligently and without hesitation they get used to the characters of their games, how they talk in different voices for dolls, how easily they become princesses and evil wizards. But over time, adults eradicate childish spontaneity in them, kids learn to restrain their emotions, obey the image of a conscious person created by society, who should not run around the apartment in an Indian costume and hit imaginary enemies with a toy bow. The ability to restrain emotions is also one of the manifestations of artistry, which we will discuss below.

Women are more artistic than men. Ladies are more open and emotional, they are used to showing a wider range of feelings than the representatives of the stronger sex, who are taught from childhood that one should not cry and complain, that “calf tenderness” is the lot of women and children, that an open manifestation of tenderness and delight is not a man’s business. Men have only a narrow range of internal qualities that are allowed to be shown in public - confidence, calmness, courage, strength of character.

Fortunately, man is an obstinate creature and is not always inclined to listen to public opinion, therefore there are many artistic personalities among men who can play any role that life or the director of a film requires of them.

What is artistry for us in the first place? It is a tool for managing yourself and people. Sounds strange... But think about it - why do people play certain roles? To evoke a response in the soul of the viewer. And having achieved the necessary emotions, it is possible to direct a person along the path of reflection that is beneficial to the artist.

A perfect example is bluffing in poker. The player pretends to have good cards, raises the stakes until the opponents chicken out and throw their cards on the table. In poker, artistry is the most important quality of a winner - it's not easy to sit with a calm and confident expression on your face when you don't have the best hand, but large sums of money are at stake.

Bluff has long migrated from poker to business and other areas of human life, and we know very well that the fate of transactions and entire companies often depends on a well-played “spectacle”.

Artistry is pretense. When a person demonstrates to others not what he really feels, this is almost the same as lying outright.

So people who are accustomed to sincerely express their emotions and feelings can believe. But if you think about it, even the most truthful person has to put on new masks every day.

For example, someone sees a person on the street with an extremely disfigured face - a natural desire would be to come up and take a closer look. But after all, we know from childhood that people with physical disabilities cannot be looked at openly, it offends and offends them. Therefore, our truthful person will pass by, pretending not to notice anything. After a difficult work day, he will visit his old sick mother and will intensely pretend that everything is fine with him, although problems have appeared in the family and large debts have formed. But after all, he cannot upset his mother, who has a bad heart ... The next day, meeting with important partners, he will deliver an incendiary and convincing speech, proving the expediency of continuing cooperation - although in reality he is very tired and only dreams of a good sleep.

In addition, artistry is not necessarily a demonstration of non-existent emotions - sometimes it is very important to convey to the opponent your personal attitude to the situation: concern for the problem, empathy, love, grief. It often happens that the solution to a problem depends precisely on how confident the second party is in the interest of the first. For example, if a husband fails to demonstrate his sincere remorse for a misconduct or concern for the health of his wife, the wife will think that he is indifferent to him - on this basis, the family may even fall apart. Or maybe he really loves her, but does not know how to express his emotions?

As you can see, artistry is an important component of interaction with people, and its absence makes life much more difficult. Fortunately, it can be developed and trained, and various simple exercises and tasks will help with this.

1. Play games. Poker was mentioned in the article - it is a great game for developing the qualities of an artist. True, this does not mean that you need to go to the casino and spend your entire salary there. It is better to play with friends on desires - this will not only save the budget of the participants, but also serve good service. After all, fulfilling wishes, the loser continues to develop artistry - usually friends give playful tasks related to strangers. Confess your love to a passerby, go to your neighbors at midnight and ask them for an ax, shout something stupid out the window. This will make life more fun, and you - much more courageous and self-confident.

In addition, there are many games for adults and children that will help make a person more artistic. For example, "The sea worries once" or "Princess Nesmeyana." Such games can be arranged for holidays in a large company or during picnic trips.

2. Keep up with the times. You know, what is "selfie"? Of course you do! Now it is so fashionable that even grandmothers post pictures on the Internet taken in a mirror or with outstretched arms. Use this modern trend to improve your acting skills. Write down on a piece of paper all the emotions you know, and take pictures of yourself, trying to depict them. See what happens. For greater effect, you can post a photo on a social network so that friends and acquaintances can express their opinion about your talents.

Almost everyone has a video camera built into the camera or phone, you can make video recordings from the webcam. Record video messages, read poetry with expression, tell your thoughts on camera on any issues that concern you. This liberates and gives you the opportunity to look at yourself from the outside, to understand what you need to work on. Maybe the pronunciation is lame, or you rub your nose with your hand all the time, or maybe your eyes are running around. Looking at the records, you can create your own image of communication, more charming and pleasant than it is now.

3. Learn to experience the right emotions. What is the success of the best actors? They cannot be played - simulated feelings do not inspire confidence. To portray any emotion, it must be experienced. To do this, you need to remember the events that provoked the feelings that you are going to portray: happy moments from childhood are suitable for joyful experiences, and in order to cause grief and longing in yourself, remember the biggest loss in life - death loved one, house fire, disease. Remember and focus on the details and visual images, allow yourself to plunge into the past - and then the necessary emotions will themselves be reflected on the face.

4. Control yourself. The development of artistry involves not only demonstrating the “right” emotions, but also suppressing those that are not worth showing at the moment. There is, for example, such an expression as "bringing down the price" - this is a technique from the field of acting in everyday life. What does a person do to bring down the price? He pretends that he does not really need the desired acquisition - for this he has to restrain in himself a feeling of desire, impatience, anticipation of the proximity of the desired object. This technique works both in bidding and in relations between people - when a person sees that his offer is of little interest to the buyer, he lowers the price. This method, for example, includes the immutable rule of girls: do not pick up the phone right away so that the guy does not think that she was waiting for a call.

How to learn not to give out your true feelings in public? About, how to manage emotions, there are many articles on the Internet, so we will focus on only one, the simplest and most effective way. In order for emotion not to control you, you need to believe that it is not a mental, but a physiological manifestation. This is true: emotions are only chemical reactions brain for some event. If you carefully analyze them, it turns out that they are expressed in some kind of physical symptoms - the heart begins to beat hard, it catches its breath, it throws you into heat or cold, it “pulls” the stomach. If you treat it like physical phenomenon, it will be possible to perceive emotion as a weak pain that you can ignore. After all, having cut yourself, you do not suffer all week over your wound until it heals - you try to forget about the discomfort and work as if nothing had happened. Emotions can be ignored in the same way, doing what is necessary: when it is scary - to abstract and call for help a state of calmness through memories of something that brought peace in the past. Well-developed artistry is impossible without the ability to manage emotions, so this will have to be worked on.

As in any phenomenon, there are extremes in artistry. There are lively and artistic, but too sincere personalities who can only show real emotions without thinking about the results of their behavior. Such people are usually considered stupid, short-sighted and primitive: "Straight as a table!" or “Simple as five cents!” - talk about them. It hardly comes across as a compliment. The opposite extreme is pathological hypocrisy, in which a person never shows his true intentions.

The other two extremes are complete absence artistry and vice versa, pretentiousness, too demonstrative behavior that attracts a lot of attention. An absolutely non-artistic person is more like a robot programmed for only one emotion - calmness, despondency or silent discontent; too artistic - annoying and tiring with its endless bursts.

Of course, any extremes are bad, you need to find a middle ground in order to achieve your goals with the help of your innate acting abilities. Without work on oneself, artistry resembles a rough diamond - it must be cut and brought to perfection, and then it will become a bright decoration of the personality.
